It is a foodie’s story. Shelly was a teenager and she carries a jolly nature. She used to be aware of everything. She wanted to be a well-polished personality for everyone. Everything was going great in her life but one challenge struck her life. Her physical appearance made her worried. She turned into a bubbly girl. Her mother used to scold her about her fat body, her friends gave her new Nicknames, and her self-confidence became her enemy. It might be common to listen but in actuality this daily annoying behaviour of her relatives was slowly making her extremely conscious about her health. She started living in loneliness and silence. She started searching for solutions on the internet for obesity. She surfed a lot of strict diet charts and maintained an extremely strict diet from those. She started skipping meals; avoiding snacks, long sleeps and her favourite dishes. She included strong exercises in her daily routine.
Slowly she started getting weaker. She started behaving rudely and lazily. She got dark circles under her eyes and very often she got sick. Anxiety trapped her. This was all snatching Shelly’s dreams, goals from her. Her mother realised her mistake. She was concerned with many doctors, surfed many web pages about the success stories of anxiety survivors. Finally, she activated her action mode. She started taking Shelly with her to the park, gardens, and social gatherings forcefully. She started building Shelly’s self-confidence again. She made Shelly’s favourite dishes for her and asked her to eat them from the heart. With a lot of pressure Shelly finally ate the chocolate dessert’s first bite which was made by her mom and she couldn’t resist eating more.
She ate dessert, rajma rice with citric onions. That first and one byte for her was the satisfactory ultimate pleasure as she missed her mother’s love, care and motivational moves. This is how a byte with mom’s love made her feel satisfied. She promised herself that she’ll never neglect her health. She understood that being bubbly doesn’t mean the end of your joys.
We should feel cheerful and joyful with our pure heart and soul.
That was the story having expression of anxiety for a foodie.

Moral of the story and Matter of Discussion from the Story: Story had traces of body shaming and society’s pressure. We can relate the story with a critical topic, life of an obese person. Body shaming comments of orthodox society on physical appearance of a person have potential to destroy the happiness of one’s life. If a person is a foodie and an obesity victim, the society should try to motivate that person instead of criticising. A true foodie will not leave love for food to satisfy society’s thought process. The story reflects the type of life a person lives being a foodie and a student along with an obese person. Divya’s Canvas would like to deliver an important message for all obese people and their critics through above story.
